Welcome

The NICU Parent Program is a private psychology practice in California that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and families who have previously experienced a NICU stay or stressful birth/postpartum experience.

A neonatal medical crisis can be very stressful for parents. It is common for parents to experience anxiety, panic, excessive worry and anger, guilt, depression, and sleeplessness. They can feel isolated, misunderstood, and helpless both during the hospital stay and after discharge. Siblings, grandparents and other family members can feel stressed and worried too.

Fortunately, specialized help is now available. The NICU Parent Program was developed by a Clinical Psychologist who is a former NICU parent herself and who understands the needs of families before, during, and after a neonatal hospital stay or stressful birth/postpartum experience. Services are provided via telehealth video sessions that can be held while families are at the hospital or at home, anywhere in California.

Families of babies in the NICU or post-NICU, you are not alone!  Call for a free consultation: 510-575-3020.
